About Letting Go

I was confused. I was meditating and came upon something that I was not ready to let go of. To just leave behind. I felt like I needed it.

In my next Dharma Discussion, I asked about this. Soryu explained to me that we can just let anything go. Surrender it, for it to be taken. If it is real, if it is ours, it will become more. If it is not the right time for it to be surrendered, it will not be taken. By letting it go, we are offering it.

“Also, if its not ready to be picked up, it will still be there. Look.” He put down the stick that is used to ring the meditation bell. “See. It is still there.”
