Again and again this question comes up for me, “What is next for me?” Soryu has been pointing out to me, this afflicted question, “What am I going to do with my life,” is self centered, is based on the clinging, dualistic mind.
I set up a meeting with Soryu to discuss my plans going forward. I had questions, and Soryu’s advice to me was to stay immediate, in the mind of practice.
Soryu tells me again and again, the answers to my questions about what to do and where to go and other related things are not in this clinging, self-grasping, dualistic mind. The answers are not in ideas. This question itself is the wrong direction.
